HAving a frustrating day with the paint. It is a satin finish because it is easier to clean and it is was not staying mixed. So I went back to SW and they shook both cans for me. Color is right but sheen is wrong and patchy. Just put some on and letting it dry now as a 2nd coat to see if we have a working medium. I hope so! Someone shoot me for picking a dark color. I love it but this is frustrating. And it is going to push me back another day before we can start the floors unless i work stupidly late today.

I did get all the trim done now to not wreck it with the color. And I did get started on the color for the walls in the game room and I think I am really going to like it. My husband swears it is purple. IT IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT is is a very dark taupe but it does have a maroon in the mix. But not Purple. Got to get it all done and it could be a play of the light too. It is not done I have a lot more to do did not even get complete first coat on the taupe. And being dark it will need a second coat. So you know what I will be doing all day.
Looks like more rain not sure about contractor today or not so we shall see. Cooler and that is good. Allergies not quite as bad this morning. But mild headache probably from the weather change the storm last night kinda started on it last night and this morning still there. Hoping to shake it off because painting with one will really stink.
7 days till counter tops, 11 days to dishwasher and plumbing complete. Need my plumber to call me back to confirms that. So 11 days to get the painting, caulking and hardwood floors in. I think it is doable even while trying to run the business.
Goals for today, SITS challenge 20 lunges, over 8k steps (maybe a walk in there), get that room painted, stay on track with food. I want Onederland I can see it very close on the horizon.

Down 1.6 lbs great way to start day 1 of week 16 of this WOE.
OK Tree pollen is off the charts it seems and that is why my allergies are bonkers. Day 4 of the running eyes and back to the heat today 87F here today. Taking my allergy pills now and only just been up a few mins.
Got a lot done yesterday, BIL installed the lights and wired the wall switch for the game room and I needed a few touch ups once I could see so I did those and primed all the woodwork in that room and around it 2x. Too many knots bleeding through. Today I will paint all the wood work 2 coats and hopefully get started with color I really want all of this done by end of day tomorrow... not sure if it will happen but that is the goal.
BIL also wired for lighting outside for 2 new fixtures but need a new mounting surface that Contractor will add for support on these heavy fixtures then that part can be finished. YAY!
Hubby and daughter worked outside on painting the side of the house that just had all the rot fixed including window frames and areas that had been scrapped
Had a 15 min walk to run to the corner hardware store and get a couple machine screws that were longer for anchoring the ceiling fan. So, I sorta got a walk in.
I am looking at getting a new MP3 player so I can listen to music and audio books while working. Loved my old one but the headphone jack is loose and so I can no longer hear it half the time, or it is like static radio noise with voices popping in and out. Maybe I can squeeze enough money out to afford one.

It is the simple things in life that tend to make us the happiest. If that statement is true then why do we complicate our lives as much as we do. I am learning (the hard way, of course), this life lesson. Calm, centered and focused I accomplish so much more than when I am stressed and distracted. Calm, centered and focused I know I am far happier in that state. If only I could manage it daily.... Perhaps once I get this massive project off my chest I can reach that state with calm and less stress more days. I know I am putting too much pressure on myself yet I continue to do it.
But today is the beginning of week 14 on the renovation and week 16 in this WOE. I am hoping that we are nearing completion of these projects. By the end of week 15 the Game Room and Kitchen should be complete and move in ready plus decor to add. Hoping week 16 means the Living room is also complete which is paint and floors refinished. We still have the mudroom to paint and tile the floor. That brings us to late August and not including any side projects that I have been unable to make time for yet. And prep still ahead for the Convention.... ARGH!!!

Got up later this morning. Did not sleep well mainly because I went to bed with my dawgs barking and I woke still with pain in my feet. And yes I took some ibuprofen. Looks like I have swelling in the arch, so my plantar fascitis flared really bad this is not happy with me and would prefer I not walk today. At least the heel spurs have not joined in the argument. However, my eyes are running again but today before I could consider a walk. Tree pollen is high - so I suffer. So, I am skipping on walking this morning will reconvene the argument with feet and eyes later today and see if they are willing to allow me a walk. Knowing I am going to be on my feet painting the ceiling in the game room and on ladders off and on today I imagine they will argue against but we shall wait and see. I really want to walk. Only a high of 75 for today so hoping I can get one in later as long as the eyes and the feet do not refuse to go along with the whole idea again.
So, as I said painting and lots of it in the days forecast on the WIP that is my house. Darn I would love to see color go on the walls before the weekend is out. Hubby has promised me aid this weekend. And that means getting all the cardboard and wood to the recyclers and the trash to the dump. No we do not have trash pick up. There is probably 2-3 trips worth of stuff in there. But we only have til noon to get it done and Hubby has to do orders first. He will also be clearing out the kitchen of junk and prepping the floors in the kitchen for the hardwood floors, I am hoping to be laying floors by Monday-Tuesday. And I have a grocery list for him.
Kids will get chores like cleaning litter boxes, laundry, sweeping, lawn mowing, dusting in the shop.
