When I was a young girl, my mother wore a size 10 dress, which
she thought
was the most desired size for a woman. Having a daughter that was too fat was an embarrassment for her. I felt that she was disgusted with me, that my being chubby made people think she was a failure as a mother. How fat was I? I wore size 11, and I was only 10 lbs overweight according to the doctor's height and weight chart. My feelings of inadequacy and humiliation caused a lot of problems in my life, along with the teenage angst that everyone goes through. However, I survived. I will continue to come to FatSecret dot com and speak my mind in my journal. Thanks for your support. :)

Hi, everyone! Hope you are well. Thanks for your support and comments on my previous journals. Today I was at the doctor again. The woman who takes my $50 co-payment asked me if I was tired of coming there. lol I said no, I love coming there to get my health better.

Hi, everyone! Hope you are well. I decided to only weigh in when I have a loss. So glad that I'm still having a loss some times. :) I was reading that fiber aids digestion, prevents constipation, and lowers cholesterol -- and can help with weight loss. Most women should get about 25 grams fiber daily, while men might need about 38 grams. Good fiber sources include oatmeal, beans, whole grain foods, and a variety of fruits and vegetables. There is a list of good fiber foods that are low carb on my September 2 journal if you want to look back there. Please note: If you are sensitive to any food and you feel that it does not agree with you, then eat what makes you healthy. You can do this! Good luck, everyone!

My weight at home was 145 lbs but at the doctor it was 147.
