I think that is actually good weight loss. Over 1.5lbs per week. Steady. I know for me, I go through spurts of .5 or 1 then have a good drop. It just takes awhile. Be patient and you've got this

I agree with tatauu22, 1-2 lbs are supposed to be healthy. Of course there are so many other factors like calories and exercise. Even exercising has factors such as frequency, intensity, time and type of exercise.... So be encouraged and make small changes over time. There is a lot of information out there... and everyone try to do them all and change all at once... but just remember, change is a slow process.

Gosh! Yes. It’s always slow in the beginning. It’s not going to happen over night losing weight. It’s a slow progress. I have been on a diet for the last 11 weeks. I have lost about 23 lbs. That’s about 2 lbs a week. Of course, I am not physically able to lose the weight, but watching my calories has helped.

Be patient and gentle with your body. And make sure you’re getting enough quality sleep. You’re doing great!!

Expect slow progress, then you can dance 💃 when you have an occasional -2

You are doing fine - it takes time to lose - think of it as a long term lifestyle change - not a diet.

I hit a plateau around 200lbs as well. I had to look at my diet and make some alterations. I started trimming down on mayo and I went from vitamin D milk to 30 calorie almond milk. no soda, no fast food. I had to work on my portioning as well. Slim my portions down. My plateau only lasted a few days but weening off my medications is what really helped.I picked up my pace and used a pedometer walking app to track footsteps and noticed I wasnt walking but 1200 steps a day. I started going on longer walks and got so much better, that I can stand the Mississippi Heat and now I mow in the heat! I hope this will help you find a way to break through your plateau and break 200 lbs.!!! I was just your weight 3 months ago and Im at 180 now so if your have any more questions about anything else, let me know. We are all here to help each other find the healthy us we use to be when we were younger, remember!!!

Jay that is great advice..... once you build good habits, you have to keep improving those habits little by little.... one thing at a time

What jaimejay said! I've been on my journey for a long while. Just recently a plateau hit me even though I was doing the same logging, portions, activity, etc. I had to look at my numbers and tweeks things. You're in the right place for advice. I think you're doing very well though☺️

I've lost 14 lbs. in 9 weeks. That's averaging 1.5 lbs. a week. Sometimes it feels like I backtrack a lot. I like to weigh myself everyday so every fluctuation up or down shows up. You just have to hang in there and count every day you stay down a plus. I don't know what your calorie allowance is, but I've been more successful restricting my total calories under the total. Try doing it on alternate days. Also, as everyone says moving more helps. Just little things like parking further or doing extra chores can help.
